JWI June Social
On Sunday June 29, Signed Sealed Delivered played at the JWI June Social at the Magnolia Hotel in the Pegasus Ballroom. In keeping with the 'Rocco and Gina's Wedding' theme of the event, the band donned some gaudily colored tuxedos as well as some very '80s prom dresses. View more at the carpe vita blog. Special musical selections for the "dances" included 'Do You Really Want To Hurt Me', 'Total Eclipse of the Heart' and a touching ballad version of 'Pour Some Sugar on Me' arranged and performed exclusively for Gina and Marky's bride/brother dance. Definitely an outrageously fun and unique event with tongue firmly planted in cheek.

Absolute Lighting's favorite photos

Go to the absolute lighting website to see more ideas about how lighting will enhance the decor and mood of your chosen venue. Decor sets the tone for the entire event when these spaces are first revealed to your guests. We're lucky to get the opportunity to stand in these perfectly prepared venues before the party begins.

SSD Plays House of Blues in Los Angeles
Signed Sealed Delivered traveled to Los Angeles to play two shows for a corporate marketing event. One of those shows was at The House of Blues Anaheim. We had a few minutes free to see some local sites. Here is a photo of our keyboardist/singer Mary at the Queen Mary and our favorite hamburger clerk at the world famous In -n -Out Burger.

Kathryn & Kyle @ The Crescent Hotel

Kathryn and Kyle had their wedding over Memorial Day Weekend at The Crescent Hotel , which is one of our favorite venues to perform. Freesia floral and Absolute Lighting worked together to create a lounge feel in the main ballroom with a Red perimeter wash and dramatic pin spotting on the Cymbidium Orchids. Something Blue wedding coordinators helped plan a perfectly seemless event with the band Cuvee providing the music and emcee services. Check out all of the photos on Chris Moseley's blog site. Thanks to Chris for providing these photos.

Kristen and Nathan at The Belo
This was a beautiful wedding with many things coming together at two locations to create a memorable day for everyone. Kristen and Nathan had their ceremony at Kristen's family home and hosted the reception in the Pavilion Ballroom of the Belo Mansion. The blue color wash set a majestic mood while the pinspotting really made the arrangements by Freesia pop. Thanks to Mason Jar Films for the footage above.

Michelle & James at Rough Creek Lodge

Check out f8studio's photos of Michelle and James' Wedding Reception on their blog. f8studio always capture each event's unique mood with their photography. Michelle and James had their ceremony and reception at Rough Creek Lodge with the band Cuvee as their entertainment. Rough Creek is an amazing location near Glen Rose, Texas with a wedding chapel on site. The first shot above gives a feel of the overall look and feel of the great room at the lodge.
Cuvee rocked the party with the elegant hipness that they are known for. They played everything from Frank Sinatra to Justin Timberlake to AC/DC. And.. Michelle did some singing with the band. It was a blast.
Rosine Hall - Dallas Arboretum
This was a really fun event and a great wedding at The Dallas Arboretum. The guests were ready to have a good time and the excellent food, venue, flowers, lighting and band made it all happen. Outdoors can be a challenge but the weather was picture perfect and the ability to flow from cocktails outside into Rosine Hall for seating and dancing and back outside to enjoy the weather made for a great evening. SSD brought the party music and kept the the dance floor packed. The lanterns outside and colorwashes and floral lighting inside by absolute lighting set a majestic mood. Check back for photos by Rhea-Engert Photography in a couple weeks.
Hello World - First Blog Entry
Hello World and Welcome. Hope you enjoy the scenery and suroundings. We've been a part many cool things and events over a long time and wanted an outlet to share them. Just last weekend was an especially wonderful night at Rosine Hall at the Dallas Arboretum so that's probably a good place to start. Check out some photos of the asain lanterns outside and great colorwashes inside as well as shots of SSD in action at the Rosine Hall thread.
